Call Before You Dig!
Electric power lines are often put underground. If you plan on digging in your yard or elsewhere, call the new one-call locating service at 1-800-795-0555 at least 48 hours before digging. The service will contact all the utilities with underground facilities in the area of the dig. If North Central Electric Cooperative has underground facilities near the dig site, we will locate them before you dig.
Look Up!
Contact with overhead power lines can result in serious injury or even death. Always take note of overhead power line locations when working near power lines. This is especially true when transporting large equipment. Always keep yourself, your tools and your equipment at least 10 feet from overhead power lines.
Electrical Emergencies
Accidental contact with electrical wires can be very serious. Always consider a downed power line to be energized, and stay away from it. Do not touch anyone in contact with a downed power line. Call for emergency medical personnel and North Central Electric Cooperative immediately:
